3 Malaysians apply for Singapore coaching job

Three Malaysians are amongst the list of 15 candidates that have applied for the position of the Singapore national women team coach,

In confirming this, the President of the Singapore Hockey Federation Mathavan Devadas however refused to reveal more details.

“ Yes we have received 15 applications of which one is from Singapore while 14 others are foreigners, including three Malaysians,” said Mathavan at the sidelines of the AHF Asia Junior Women Cup Qualifiers at the Sengkang Stadium.

“ We will reveal more details on this in due course.”

Though not revealed by the SHA, it is learnt that the three are former Malaysian men’s team assistant coach Lion Chiow Chuan, Former International Mohd Rodhanizam Mat Radzi and Ikmal Abdul Jabarx

Currently the coach is David Viner and he is amongst the 15 applicants.

Of the three Malaysian applicants. Lim has had experience before working with SHF, having coached here before.

Currently two other Malaysians are involved with Singapore HF, with Forbes international K. Rajan as coach of the Men’s team and Redzuan Ponirin on a term contract for the indoor Hockey teams.
