FAM: Why is this deal missing from list?

While FAM President Dato Hamidin Amin deserves some credit for being a commoner to have done well in his first year at the helm, the publicity campaign went overboard and did not give a true reflection in the state of affairs.

Perhaps those responsible for the massive PR campaign should have , instead of doing chest thumping achievements, focused more on the challenges faced by Hamidin.

There is no doubt that Hamidin has a good personality but a person is only as good as those surrounding him, period.

Looking at all the highlights , the above tweet was of particular interest.

And it was on the following subject that was something that needed clarification as it was something from the dark side.

According to a press report on July 28 last year, FAM had signed a RM6 million contract with an engineering firm .

This is from the press release ;

According to a statement issued by the country’s main football body today, the signing of the sponsorship agreement took place shortly after the fifth FAM Executive Committee Meeting for the 2017-2021 term in Melaka.

CustomCraft Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Yeong King Hui said he had high confidence in the authority of the new FAM president, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin in continuing the legacy of the Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

The sponsorship of RM6 million for a period of three years to 2021 was from the engineering company, CustomCraft (M) Sdn Bhd.

So why was this not listed under the sponsorship achievements of Hamidin especially when it was the first deal he inked after becoming President on July 14, 2018?

And is the sponsorship still ongoing?

Efforts to get a response from Hamidin were futile.

Hope FAM will now be more transparent .
