Football: Do this for Sanj, Cardiff FC

The owners of Liverpool FC and Cardiff FC may not know this.

But last year August they lost one of, if not their most ardent fans – my nephew Sanjeev Singh Dhaliwal.

Sank as he was know passed away after a blood clot in his brain, at 42 years old , leaving behind two lovely kids , Aman and Amber.

Sanj just loved football and supported Liverpool and Cardiff since he was a toddler.

The fact that his late dad Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal was also an ardent Cardiff and Liverpool fan made it easy for him to pick teams to support

Sanj was an ardent supporter of Cardiff as his Dad ran a convenience store on Cowbridge Road in Cardiff,

While it was long drives to Anfield, Sanj also made weekly trips to Cardiff from his home in Swindon.

He had longed for Cardiff to return to the top flight and for Liverpool to win the Premier League,

One half of his dream came through a week ago.

And today starts the journey of Cardiff in the playoff for promotion.

At his funeral I’m August, Sanj’s memorial was a mix of souvenirs of Cardiff and Liverpool .

Tonight as other ardent fans, Sanj will be rooting for the second part of his dream to take a major step into becoming a reality.

A boy who has his ancestors roots deeply entrenched in Tampin , will be rooting from the heavens for his heroes to prevail.

Do this for Sanj please Cardiff, for you meant the world to him.
