Hockey: Junior Asia Cup Men Postponed

The Asian Hockey Federation has decided to postpone the Junior Asia Chp Tournament.

Scheduled to be held in Dhaka from the 4-12 June, the tournament serves as the Qualifier for the 2021 Junior World Cup for Men.

Earlier the AHF had also postponed the Women’s Junior Asia Cup which was to be held in Kakamighara, Japan in April.

Another hockey tournament that was affected was the 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup which now awaits new dates from Perak Hockey Association, most likely in mid September.

There is obviously going to be a rush to finish tournaments this year, especially the qualifiers.

AHF is expected to have a relook at its calendar upon the Covid 19 situation easing up but not before June at the very least.

The Malaysian Juniors are trained by Wallace Tan.
