MFL CEO Resignation: Body to issue press statement today

The Malaysian Football League will issue a press statement on the position of its Chief Executive Officer Kevin Ramalingam this afternoon.

This website revealed last night that Kevin had tendered his resignation as CEO.

Met at the launch of the Royal Selangor Club Junior International Tournament, MFL and FAM President had this to say.

“ We will issue a formal statement on his situation later today,” said Hamidin.

When pressed further on if the resignation had anything to do with the failure to meet the second instalment of grants to the M- League teams, Hamidin retorted;

“ We are holding a congress meeting of the MFL Stakeholders on December 14,” added Hamidin.

“ This matter will be addressed then.”

News of Kevin’s departure was made known to this scribe during his interview with Tunku Ismail, the Crown Prince of Johor on November 18.

And it is learn that a replacement has already been found and more details will be made known in due course.

It is also learnt that Hamidin has received the resignation letter and has consulted the members of the MFL Board and the formal announcement is due to be mAde after lunch today.
