Peillat for THT?

Terengganu Hockey Team are taking the forthcoming Malaysian Hockey League seriously.

For the East Coast side are said to be on the verge of signing three players from Argentina.

And it’s no ordinary players as one of them is ace penalty corner specialist Gonzalo Peillat Who has 119 international caps to his credit.

His ability in penalty corners has made him one of the most feared executioners in world Hockey.

The inclusion of this 25 year old will surely give THT the edge over the other teams.

Another international that THT are Said to be finalising the deal with is Joaquin Menini Who is a striker.

Menini who is 26 years old has represented Argentina for 82 times.

Both the players were members of the Argentina team that won gold in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The third player from Argentina is Pablo Javier Trevisan who played last season.

With the departure of striker Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin Tg Jalil to TNB, the inclusion of the two prominent Argentina players will surely make THT the early favourites.

THT coach Sarjit Singh declined to comment on the signing of these players, opting to keep mum until after the closing date on December 8.

The MHL is expected to commence on January 6 and end by February 8, with teams playing three competitions / the league, knockout and overall competitions within the 6 week period.
