Time to move away from cheats and liars

As I mark my exit from Kuala Lumpur, I will be writing a series of articles outlining moments in our sporting history that ultimately changed things, some for the better, most for the worse.

In the articles, I shall reveal the rights and wrongs associated with sports bodies, associations, individuals that over the years have either had positive or negative impact on sports.

I will outline my personal experiences with the likes of , not in that order – Dato Wira Mazlan Ahmad, Dato Sieh Kok Chi, Dato Ahmad Shapawi, Dato Dr, Ramlan Abdul Aziz, Dato Seri Zolkples Embong, Dato Sri Norza Zakaria, Dato Hamidin Mohd Anin, Tunku Mahkota Johor, KDYMM Yang Di Pertuan Agong, Dato Hishamuddin Hussein, Dato Azlina Othman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin, Khairy Jamaluddin, Tan Sri Ibrahim Saad….. and a few more that I will not mention names as they do not deserve their names mentioned.

These people had effects on my life ever since I moved to Kuala Lumpur from Seremban in 1995.

My initial working life of 15 years in Seremban Municipal Council and then Yayasan Negeti Sembilan were my best years.

After that I served National Sports Council, Royal Selangor Club, Royal Lake Club, The Malay Mail, Sports Ministry, Sports Commissioners Office, OCM, Football Association of Malaysia, MyTeam FC, Malaysian Super League, Inai Kiara, KL Racquet Club…

Experiences, both bitter and sweet will be penned, as one individual made his way to Tampin to usher in Deepavali with my family but his actual motive was to lobby me to push for him to be the NSC Director General.

I enjoyed my 70 minute session with TMJ in May this year, something I never write about but left me with pondering about how society makes wrong perceptions,

My similar one on one with the Agong in 2012 is yet another moment that still lingers in my mind.

I leave KL at the end of this month, a move back to Tampin, but I will continue to pen my thoughts looking out of the window from my bedroom.

My encounters were some serious, some funny and some were out of this world.

Ever feel used? Yes I did and still am snarfing from the effects of three individuals who used me to get into positions and now behave as if they are gods gift to Malaysian Sports.

No this is not a kiss and tell rendition but rather a life experience that hopefully others will read and understand and avoid making mistakes.

I must be honest here, I am forced to leave KL as I could no longer sustain financially ever since I lost my income in 2015, no thanks to greed and incompetent personalities in a sport that I loved.

Over the years I have dig deep into my savings, my EPF and yet there was no openings.

Many told me this was because I was too principled and did not tone down.

Well I rather die a pauper and have my principles intact then to sell my soul for money,

Be extra careful on the path one chooses to walk, life perils will ultimately put lots of hills to climb, but always remain honest and truthful to the cause.

Never ever compromise on your principle? No matter who and what you are up to.

Watch this space.
