Asian Indoor Hockey: Iran a class above

Iran showed why they are a class above the other teams as they demolished Uzbekistan 9-1 in the men’s semi final of the Asian Indoor Championship in Chonburi.

Ranked world number 4, the Iranians were a class act, playing a high level of indoor Hockey that was a joy to watch.

Their skills were mesmerising while their passes were a delight, relying on the strength of the wrist to direct pin point passes.

Try as they did. Uzbekistan knew they had a mammoth task and soon felt the full brunt when Iran stepped up a gear.

Reza Norouzzadeh scores five goals for Iran in the 5th, 29th, 30th, 31st and 38th minutes.

The other Iranian goals were netted by Navid Taherirad in the 5th, 15th and 33rd minutes with Behdad Beiranvand getting the other in the 13th minute.
