Football: Man United to play in KL?

Highly informed sources have revealed that English giants Manchester United will be playing in Kuala Lumpur this July.

It is learnt that the match , against mostly likely a M-League Selection will take place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Though details are still sketchy as to who is organising or promoting the match, it is learnt that the Football Association of Malaysia and the Stadium Corporation have been notified on the potential match.

It is further learnt that representatives of United will be in town soon to iron out the contractual details.

If this match materialises, it will no doubt be a tremendous boost to the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign as one can expect a huge number of tourists from neighbouring countries making a bee line to Malaysia.

Although somewhat struggling in the EPL, Manchester United still command the biggest fan base on the country, reportedly more then 9 million fans in Malaysia alone.

So one can expect the National Stadium, with a capacity of 88,600 to be filled to the brim.

More details are expected to be revealed in due course but this single match will undoubtedly be the biggest sports event in the country, so often starved of big sporting events, unlike in the past.

Managed by baby faced assassin Ole Gunnar Solskjaer , the United team boasts of start players in the likes of Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Athony Marcial and David De Gea.
