Question marks were raised on the status of this tournament following the moving of the men’s and women’s Asian Champions Trophy.

The Men’s Junior Asia Cup was moved to July earlier.

“ We are monitoring the situation and expect a decision in the next two weeks,@ said Asian Hockey Federation Chief Executive Officer Dato Tayab Ikram.

“ While there are minimal cases of Covid 19 at the venue, the general policy of the Japan government prevails.

“ We are in close touch with Japan HA on this and will decide soon,

Dato Tayab said from the global outlook, tournaments within Asia could only be held from June onwards.
